Aiden’s parent, Bethni and Chad, were another couple who we first worked with as an engaged couple. The pair were married in late 2006 and immediately started their family.
Bethni and Chad are superstars in our world for a lot reasons, first among those reasons is Chad is a Marine and often having to serve our country in lands far away from his wife and children.
As a wedding photographer, clients often ask if I can tell whether or not a couple is going to “make it” or if I can see trouble on the horizon. After spending their wedding day with them, I knew Bethni and Chad were going to be a strong pair despite their youth and the strains of family life in the military.
We have remained friends since that snowy December night almost five years ago. When Bethni and Chad announced they were expecting a second child this May. My heart leaped in happiness for them. Bethni contacted me via Facebook to do their son’s newborn photography during the Spring. I was so excited!
Earlier this month they brought in their little guy for his first professional portrait session. As experts at baby photography one the unique things which separates us from the crowd is the level of comfort and accommodations we provide each of our clients. At our studio we have a private area for nursing and a large changing table stocked with diapers, wipes, lotions and hand disinfectant for your convenience! We have yet to have one of our clients not benefit from this!
For Aiden and all newborns we know how much they like the room to be warm. So we use space heaters and heating blankets on our posing bag before we place any newborn down. Aiden really seemed very comfortable with all the warm places we put him!

For most newborns if they are not sleeping then they are crying. This is why we always encourage our moms to bring their newborns in hungry and use our private nurisng area to give their babies a nice full belly, that way the "milk coma" sets in. Little Aiden was the exception. Despite a full belly, little Aiden wasn't much for sleeping during portrait session. But he wasn't crying either! Score one for the little guy!

Aiden got in some snoozing for his photography session while resting a top a knitted blanket made by one of his grandparents. We stronly encourage our clients to think of bringing family props that have a story to them. It's always more meaningful in the portraits to see your child surrounded by the tokens of love and affection from your family! It's so neat!

This one was one of Bethni's favorites! Another of the several unique ways we are different from other baby photographers in Kansas City is our willingness to make sure we don't rush you and your baby through the portrait session. All newborn sessions are allowed two hours of photography time. Naturally this means that we allow time for you and your baby to be at your best. If you need to nurse your baby, snuggle and reassure them, it's no problem. Your comfort and relaxation are paramount!

This is Aiden's momma's favorite image. Ask us about birth announcements at your ordering session. We have several beautiful designs we can show you with your Kansas City newborn's images already dropped in to the designs. Something so beautiful we don't want to leave it to your imagination!
